Acef Stripe has managed to create pieces that do an emotional shapeshift with each subsequent listen. Last time it was peaceful and uplifting, this time the same piece is melancholy. Not an easy thing to achieve, but he does it over and over again here. Greg Nieuws

There is a little of everything that's great about electronic music in Ace Stripe's Foxy. 70's Komische recalls of Cluster, early Kraftewerk and Harmonia with atmospheric codas that recall wide open valleys as well as intimately shaded brooks. Every track is a either a resting spot or a high point along a ridge line, and you'll want to revisit each one again and again. fran3000
